Philadelphia is an exciting place to listen to classical music. 2024 was the right time to bring a new chamber music group to the greater Philadelphia area — The Kairos Trio. The Trio brings both familiar and unfamiliar chamber music to audiences that captivate and enlighten the trio’s audience. Church of St. Asaph provides a great venue for chamber music, with free parking and close proximity to the suburbs and Philadelphia. Much as I was impressed with the Beethoven Trio presented during the October 2024 concert, I was captivated with the Trio by Dora Pejačević. Finally, the Turina 2nd Piano Trio was a pure joy to experience — clearly Spanish in nature, however, with French influence. The Trio really enjoys searching for familiar and mostly undiscovered music, presented in grand settings. I always enjoy the opportunity to attend concerts that offer post-concert receptions to meet the musicians and other members of the audience.

"We have been fortunate to have the Kairos Trio perform for our concert series in the Baltimore, MD area.  Their concert was thoughtfully programmed and beautifully performed, and our audience was enthusiastic in its approval.  The Trio members are mature professionals, and it is a pleasure to work with them.  We are looking forward to welcoming them back to our series in the future."
David Hutton, Board Chairman of Catonsville Concerts at 3
The Kairos Trio meets an ever-present need in the Philadelphia area for chamber music that’s both creatively programmed and lovingly performed. Besides the greatest hits of such masters as Brahms and Haydn (who are certainly well-represented), Tom, Talia, and Kasia are devoted to exploring the repertoire’s deeper cuts, unearthing gems even the most seasoned listeners might have overlooked. Every one of their concerts is not only a delight, but an expansion of our musical horizons.

The Kairos Trio delivered a captivating and masterful performance as part of the Mallery Concert Series at Rutgers–Camden in  November 2024. Their seamless ensemble work, expressive nuance, and technical brilliance were a true highlight of the season. The trio brought both emotional depth and intellectual clarity to their program, engaging the audience from the first note to the last. A truly memorable afternoon of chamber music.
